Coach James Adams began coaching at Linfield in 2017. He attended Ramona High School (CIF-SDS) where he was a state qualifier in the mile. He furthered his running career at Cal Baptist University becoming a 14-Time All-American, and four-time National Champion. Coach Adams continued running after college with Team USA Olympic Development, achieving a mile time of 4:04 and 14:03 in the 5K. In addition, he was a World Championship Qualifier as an Elite Triathlete. He is the owner of James Adams Coaching, and for the past 11 years has been coaching adult runners, triathletes, collegiate, and high school runners and possesses a USATF Level 2 Endurance Certification. His goal as a coach is to find each athlete’s unique mentality and physicality and develop it to help them reach their maximum potential. In addition to coaching, Adams is an entrepreneur and is married to his wife Amy and together they have four children: Scarlett, Taylor, Bo, and Juliet.
