Athletics is excited to welcome three new Head Coaches to the High School Coaching Staff!

CHEER

Jacqueline Holtschult

Coach Jacqueline has been a part of the Linfield community as one of our distinguished Science faculty since 2020 teaching AP Biology and Biology. In her time as a Lion, she has fostered wonderful relationships with students, parents, and co-workers. She is not only a qualified teacher, earning her undergrad degree at UCLA and her graduate degree at USC, but she also brings her personal experience and love for cheer. Coach Jacqueline was a part of Cardinal Newman’s Cheer and Dance Team and served as team captain in her senior year of high school. She is also a recipient of the NCA All-American Award for Cheerleading.

Her coaching philosophy is to serve as a mentor and source of motivation, leading by example, to shape our young women into positive representations of Linfield Christian School through their skill and hard work. She feels both privileged and blessed to be a part of Linfield Athletics and her desire to do all things with excellence will allow her to lead this year’s cheer team to the next level.

She went on to play setter at the University of Florida for two years and then transferred to Oregon State for the remainder of her indoor career. After college, Coach Ortiz trained as a professional beach volleyball athlete for 4 years.

Her love of training led her to pursue a career as a Sports Performance Strength Coach and she currently trains athletes at Dynamic Fitness HPK in Temecula.

Coach Ortiz met her husband Ricky at Oregon State and together the two welcomed their first daughter Emmie in April. As a family, they enjoy getting outside, enjoying God’s beautiful creation, working out, and spending time at home with their dog, Belly.
