HIGH SCHOOL

HIGH SCHOOL

Kat Mathews

Kat had a perfect month on the tennis court. She was 24-0 in dual matches to add to her undefeated season with a record of 30-0 (21-0 in league). The Lady Lions are off to a 5-2 start in league and her dominance gives the team extreme confidence going into every match. Even as a sophomore, she is developing into one of our team leaders and continues to improve each week. The future looks bright for Kat on and off the tennis court.

HIGH SCHOOL

Enyi Liu

“After getting to know and coach Enyi in track last spring, I realized right away his maturity and leadership qualities would make a great team captain. He has led our team—not only as our #1 runner, but through bible studies at our team dinners and setting a great example to everyone around him. He works extremely hard, shows up to practice and races with heart. Nothing more a coach can ask for.”
– Coach Adams

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Ryley Burns

Ryley Burns has set the bar high with her work ethic. She gives 110% at every practice and keeps a humble and positive attitude. She loves to cheer on her teammates and help them calm their nerves before races. Ryley's performance on the race course is inspiring; she has placed in the top 3 at all meets so far (1st place in the last two meets). Ryley's reached her PR this season at the second league meet where she ran the 2 miles in 11:54. Nice work Ryley!

Abe Fuhrman

Abe Fuhrman has led his team this year, by not only his awesome running ability, but by his effort in practice, his attitude and his respect for his teammates. He has taken his role as one of the team captains for the cross country team this year very seriously. He leads and inspires with kindness and humility. As an athlete, Abe has placed in the top 4 at every meet so far amongst very tough competition. Abe ran his PR time of 11:14 for 2 miles at the Grant Nunnally meet. There will be a lot of exciting races to come from Abe in the future. Way to go Abe!

Alyssa Lanham

Once Alyssa steps on the volleyball court, she is ready to play. She excels in serving, passing, and hitting. In our last two games, she totaled 11 aces and 5 kills. Alyssa is a supportive and reliable teammate. On the court, she is a vocal leader and a great communicator. She gives 100 percent and brings energy to every practice and game. She genuinely enjoys volleyball. Alyssa does nothing out of selfish ambition, but instead, she values her teammates above self (Philippians 2:3).

Remy Moskal

Remy Moskal is not only our team captain, but is a true leader. She embodies our mission to glorify God in action and attitude, and is always encouraging her teammates. In the first three games, Remy tallied 8 aces, 11 kills, and effectively led the defense with 39 digs. Remy is an outstanding athlete and continues to let her light shine while demonstrating the character of Christ.

Taylor Thompson

Taylor (aka Wonder Woman) is a spark-plug for the flag football team this season. She's confident, strong, and positive, while balanced with a great sensitivity and respect for her team, coaches, and others. Taylor is quick on her feet and always faces challenges head on. Taylor is a true superhero both on and off the field!

Zach Williams

Zach has been on of the captains on the tackle football team this season and a true leader on and off the field. He is also a captain on the defensive side of the ball and one of the leading tacklers on the team. He also fills the guard position on the offensive line. Way to go Zach!
